How much horse hair or fur do I need?

Only a small amount is required for most designs. For horse hair, a lock approximately the thickness of a pencil is usually sufficient. For pet fur, a small lock placed in a sealed bag is normally enough. If you are unsure, please get in touch and we will be happy to advise.

Can I use mane hair instead of tail hair?

In many cases, yes. However, tail hair is often preferred as it tends to be longer and stronger, making it more suitable for certain designs. If you only have mane hair available, please contact us to discuss your options.

Can old horse hair or fur be used?

Yes. Many customers send hair or fur that has been carefully stored for months or even years. As long as it has been kept clean and dry, it can often still be incorporated into a beautiful keepsake.

Can hair or fur from more than one animal be included?

Absolutely. Many customers choose to combine hair or fur from multiple horses and pets into a single piece of jewellery, creating a meaningful tribute to several cherished companions.

What types of fur can be used?

How do I send my horse hair or pet fur?

Simply place the hair or fur into a sealed bag or envelope and clearly label it with your name and order details. We recommend using a tracked postal service for additional peace of mind.

Will my inclusions be kept separate from other orders?

Yes. Every order is carefully labelled and handled individually throughout the entire process to ensure your inclusions remain separate at all times.
